Update…

Can you tell summer is over?  Once the school year starts, I pretty much disappear.  To make matters a bit more stressful, I’m currently taking 6 credits towards my Master’s degree.  I feel bad because I haven’t had any time to keep up with everyone’s blogs.  I try to peek in here and there, but leaving comments is next to impossible.

Here are some exciting things that have happened recently:

1.  I became an aunt for the 14th time!

johanna Johanna

I haven’t gotten to see her yet which is a big bummer. Hopefully I’ll get to see her around Thanksgiving.  There’s something so precious about a newborn baby, especially one that I don’t have to wake up with in the middle of the night.

2.  I’m the proud new owner of…

The Adobe Master Collection

Oh, baby!

Let me share with you one of the few joys of being a college student.

I got all of this:

…and should have had to pay this:

But here are the college prices:

Rock on!

Actually, the best deal is probably the Web Premium package,   I figured, though, that I’d just go for broke and buy the big collection since I’m  only allowed to buy one.  Now I just need to learn how to use all this stuff.  My new web banner was made with Flash.  (That alone is $699 if bought by itself!)

3.  My baby brother got married!  The wedding was so beautiful, and I got to see family members that I haven’t seen for quite a while.  One of these days, I’ll get the wedding photos posted.  Here are a few:

Yikes!  It’s me!  (Angie took this one.)

roth banner I have a feeling the photographer will have to do a lot of Photoshopping on this one.   i can’t imagine she got a photo with all the kids looking at the camera.  :)

Congrats!

I’ll have more pictures some time soon.

Should I say congratulations? That is really awesome! I hope to one day get my hands on that. I had no idea the college discount was that much! The new banner looks great.

Also, I changed the look of my blog thanks to you! Thank you for sharing the "how to".

Oh Drew, love the pics, especially the one Angie took of you. I also love the one of Jon with the kids.

You must be so excited with your new purchase!!!! I thought I got a great deal on CS4 but you did much better on your package!

I guess I'll have to wait until my daughter gets to college.....

Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the studies. I know you'll have a lot on your plate in the coming months but I think you are certainly up to the challenge of intense study/kid juggling you'll be facing.

I hope one day there will be an opportunity for us to have dinner together again.

Big time stuff going on there!! Of course I'm way excited for you with buying all the cool technology! I want ALL of that but of course don't know how to use a thing except for actions in photoshop:) My college nephew lives with us and I may be "buying" him some technology soon myself! Can't wait to see what all you create with that stuff~

You are such a lucky girl. Have fun with those new toys and your header looks amazing.
Congrats on being an aunt again and you must have a really big family to be an aunt the 14th time.
Congrats to your brother and his new wife.

Lovely wedding photos.

That's a lot of adobe at one time. So no more Elements tutorials?

OH MY GOSH DREW I am so happy for you. You are mad skilled. Totally an inspiration to me! : ) I am so happy for you about your new purchase : ) And I am totally happy that the wedding was so wonderful. You are BEAUTIFUL and I adore that picture of you. I want to be pretend adopted by your mother and father. I am writing the letter of request now. I hope they can provide the dimples...

What great pictures of your little brother's wedding. What a fun family you have as well!
Good luck with your Master's classes but I so envy those Adobe goods. My brother works at our nearby college and I have access to some CS4 but my computer would die a pitiful death if I added more weight to its otherwise shrinking size.
Congrats on being an aunt for the 14th time. Looks like more pictures to be shared of that darling.
Take care,
Amy

wowzers!!! I LOVE your new flash header. It's awesome! The photos are wonderful! I'm so thrilled for you and your new toy(s).

I'm also thrilled for your brother and s-i-l. Not only do they get each other, but they also get a bazillion amazing photos to remember their wedding day! :-)

Jon & I will have to see all your pictures sometime soon. You got some good ones of "Jon being Jon" at the reception though!

About Me

My Photo
Drew
I'm a Christian, wife, mom, teacher and computer addict. I started my family blog years ago in an attempt to document daily happenings. (I knew I'd forget everything before I ever had a chance to scrapbook so I'd better write it down!) After seeing the incredible improvement in photography my sister made after having a "Year in Photos" site, I was inspired to start my own. So now I have my "gross stories from a typical day with my kids" blog and my daily photo blog. Hope you enjoy!
