I Heart Faces - Fix-It Friday - Beauty

FacesFixIt DSC_0207(Original)

This photo was submitted for Constructive Feedback Friday by a super-cool (and gorgeous) mom of 7! Isn’t this photo absolutely beautiful? Whenever we have CFF, I can’t resist attempting to improve the photo or give it a different spin. This photo didn’t need improving, but it was fun to try anyway!

My response to the feedback request was this: Screen Snaper Image fix 9_thumb[1]

If I would have had the time, I probably would have made a muted color version. I just love the color of her dress and those beautiful flowers.

Yes, I’m being lazy.

I have gone back to school to get my Master’s degree. Between that and being a full-time teacher, oh my! I’ll get through it, but sadly, I don’t think I’ll be able to be online as much to visit blogs and post entries of my own. That makes me sad.

So how would you interpret this photo? I’m betting we’re going to see so many creative approaches. Go check it out at I ♥ Faces!

This is lovely. The vertical crop makes this image much more intimate and really brings you attention to the beauty in the girl's face and the pose.

Edited for typo.

I just love this Drew. I love that you can do such amazing edits even when you are pressed for time.

You inspire me!

I am so glad your first week is over and I hope your weekend is WONDERFUL!

Wow, the cropping and black and white conversion really does place the focus completely on her face. I love this!

Best of luck on your Master's degree. You amaze me!

Love your edit! I always like looking at yours :) By the way, thanks for the tips last week on tilting the photo. I've played with it, and I got it figured out :) I was going to try and use it this week, but it didn't really make a whole lot of sense with this picture! I'm so amazed what you can do with the same software I have! Great job!

Fantastic edit! Good luck with school, I will look forward to seeing you back when you get a little time off in the summer. You have been so helpful and nice thanks a million!

AMAZING. Absolutely lovely. All of your pictures are grand. Well done (and I don't think you need Curves!)

Wait. I don't mean it like that. PhotoShop Curves. I'm sure you're just as curvy as the next lady... Oh, golly now I've stuck my foot it in.

I'm headin' to bed!

Beautiful! Thanks for popping by my blog and your kind comment!

I love your BW! Lots of people do these but not all are created equal. You had commented and asked me about my vintage. I DID use an action, it was from Coffeeshop. Her actions are new to me so I've been using them a lot. Hope that helps!

About Me

My Photo
Drew
I'm a Christian, wife, mom, teacher and computer addict. I started my family blog years ago in an attempt to document daily happenings. (I knew I'd forget everything before I ever had a chance to scrapbook so I'd better write it down!) After seeing the incredible improvement in photography my sister made after having a "Year in Photos" site, I was inspired to start my own. So now I have my "gross stories from a typical day with my kids" blog and my daily photo blog. Hope you enjoy!
