Fix-it Friday
(Original)
The steps for my fix are on I ♥ Faces. Go check it out, and then see all the great fixes that the many participants make. Perhaps you’d even like to give it a go yourself?
Just for the fun of it, here’s the entire poem from my fix it above:
I Remember, I Remember
I remember, I remember
The house where I was born,
The little window where the sun
Came peeping in at morn;
He never came a wink too soon
Nor brought too long a day;
But now, I often wish the night
Had borne my breath away.
I remember, I remember
The roses red and white,
The violets and the lily cups--
Those flowers made of light!
The lilacs where the robin built,
And where my brother set
The laburnum on his birthday,--
The tree is living yet!
I remember, I remember
Where I was used to swing,
And thought the air must rush as fresh
To swallows on the wing;
My spirit flew in feathers then
That is so heavy now,
The summer pools could hardly cool
The fever on my brow.
I remember, I remember
The fir-trees dark and high;
I used to think their slender tops
Were close against the sky:
It was a childish ignorance,
But now 'tis little joy
To know I'm farther off from Heaven
Than when I was a boy.

Thank you for the fun comment on my picture and I love your fix!
My husband and I both had the name Grant picked out before we met (I know what man has a name picked out but he did) one of those little things when you're dating that makes you think "we are so meant to be" :) So when we found out our first was a boy, Grant it was, I'm excited about him knowing that his name is a part of mommy and daddy's love story!
Perfect fix! You did a great job!

Can I just tell you I have spent the last several hours looking through your tutorials on I (heart) Faces, looking through your blog(BTW my kids are with Grandma -- the only way I could do this LOL!), and just being generally amazed at how much I have learned from you. You are AMAZING!!!! It makes me just want to hang out with you and pick your brain:-)

You did an awesome job! Love the frame and the edit is fantastic.
How sweet!
hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
I love your fix...nice job!
Your fix of his skin really is great. It looks very natural.
Thankfully, his skin isn't always that bad (that was a particularly bad reaction) or I'd do nothing BUT edit photos.
(Not that I'm embarrassed or ashamed of it, but I do like to at least touch up any pictures I'm going to post.)
I'm excited to try all the tips I've gleaned from this week's edits.
lovely...
A wonderful edit & beautiful poem.
