Free Photo Masks
Today, I figured out how to make my own photo masks. Sometimes it’s nice to have a cool edge on a photo, and a photo mask is a great way to do it. The ones I made are very simple, and I’m sharing them with whoever wants them. Just click on the link below. I use a free file sharing site. If I go over my limit, it won’t allow any more downloads, so hopefully that won’t happen. {These should work in any edition of Photoshop including Elements.}
(This is the same as the one above it with the exception of the flower in the corner. The photo mask could be easily flipped in Photoshop to get the flower in the left corner.) ![]()
Enjoy! ☺

Hi, Kate. They work in Elements. :)
Oh My Goodness! Thank You...frames are one thing I can never get enough of, I'm always looking for more cool frames. I'd love a tutorial sometime on how you make your own masks. Can't wait to start using these, they've got great character!
those aare all beautiful! thanks for sharing! i've never done photo masking, as i'm still trying to learn PSE. i'm up for the challenge though and have downloaded these as inspiration to try! thanks so much!
LOVE them!! Got them downloaded already and can't wait to use them.
You are way too cool for your own britches Drew. :)
Cool...that look awesome!
Thanks Drew, what a great gift! I just downloaded them.
Hi Drew. I was trying to use your masks tonight (my first time doing them) and I cannot figure out how to make it so the black in the middle doesn't shine through so much. do you know of a good online tutorial that would guide me through the whole masks/framing process. thanks for any help. i know i'm a total stranger!
Hi, Kate! I'm not sure if I understand the issue you are having. Do you want the mask to be more transparent in the middle? You might be able to do this with a soft brush eraser set at a low opacity. Or, if you want it darker in the middle, use a black brush on the clip mask.
If you'd like, send me an example of the issue you're having, and I'll see if I can figure it out. (I'm not expert, but I'll try!) My e-mail is: mriley1@neo.rr.com
Also, I ♥ Faces has two tutorials for clip masks:

and

There are also quite a few online. Try entering photo clip mask tutorial in google.
Hope this helps. :) Take care!
